The Spanish-speaking community in Bern
Bern hosts a discreet but well-rooted Spanish-speaking community: diplomatic and international staff of the FDFA, bicultural families, University students. Though less visible than in Zurich or Geneva, the Iberian presence can be seen in several residential districts and around the Old Town.
The Bundesplatz market (Tuesday and Saturday) offers fresh produce and local atmosphere. Several small Iberian addresses animate the Old Town and the districts near the centre.
What we offer
Iberian cured meats, artisan preserves, olive oils and spices — the selection for those who want to cook Spanish at home or give an authentic gourmet gift.
