“If we wouldn't eat a product at home, it doesn't enter the catalogue.”
Orígenes is an online fine-food shop for artisan Spanish products, based in Switzerland. A few houses we always carry, the ones that should never be missing from your kitchen, and guest houses that come for a season: when they're gone, they're gone, and another arrives. We don't try to compete with the supermarket: we look for the tin, the oil or the turrón that makes you pause at the first bite. Everything has been tasted, and every fact on every product page has a source: if we don't know it, we don't say it.
Who Orígenes is for
- For people who cook and want the right ingredient, not something close to it.
- For anyone who fell for Spain on a trip and wants that taste again at home.
- For a gift with a story: a tin, a turrón, an oil with a family name.
- And for anyone living far from Spain who misses its table.

The founder
It all began with my father's paella
My father, a Valencian from Sueca, was already cooking paellas in Montreux in the 1980s. In 1995, after losing him, I moved to Spain with my mother, a Galician from Ourense. In 2013 I came back to Switzerland, and in 2014 I started cooking paellas for colleagues; then for their friends, and for their friends' friends. That is how La Bonne Paella was born. I soon understood what every Valencian knows: without the right rice, the right pimentón and the right oil, a paella doesn't taste the way it should. So I started bringing them in myself.
I learned about customs, freight forwarders and import permits, and told myself: if I do it, I do it properly. I became an importer. A first shop, with a bit of everything, taught me the most important lesson: fewer products, better chosen. In 2025, with the morriña (the Galician word for longing) that never left me, I founded Orígenes. Today I choose every product one by one, from Spanish houses with a name, and we ship it to you customs-free from Villeneuve.
Our houses, our terroirs
From La Chinata's gentle oil (Extremadura) to Carmencita's saffron (Alicante), from Espinaler's preserves (Catalonia) to Finca La Barca's smoked pimentón (La Vera), from Plaza del Sol's apéritifs (Alicante) to Miel de León's forest honey, to Almazara Terraverne's altitude oil (Teba, Málaga) — each house has its story.
