A house, a region
Finca La Barca is the smoked gourmet specialities brand of the Oliva González family, the same family as La Chinata. The family group — NETASA, founded in 1975 — has exported Pimentón de La Vera to all five continents for decades.
The house is based in Plasencia (Cáceres), in Extremadura, and draws its raw material from the La Vera comarca, in the heart of the valleys of the Tiétar, Alagón and Árrago rivers.
Its speciality: smoking. Pimentón de La Vera (sweet, bittersweet, hot), extra virgin olive oil, smoked aioli and roasted piquillos — products awarded in New York and London, present in over sixty countries.
How they work
Pimentón de La Vera PDO is slowly smoke-dried over oak and holm-oak wood for 10 to 15 days; the peppers are turned by hand, every day, for even drying.
The smoke fixes the carotenoids that give it its intense colour. The pepper is then ground on stone mills into a fine, even powder. 100 % pimentón, with no additives.

Why we chose them
A Protected Designation of Origin “Pimentón de la Vera”: the whole chain, from growing to milling, takes place in the La Vera comarca.
The craft of traditional Extremadura smoking, carried by the Oliva González family (La Chinata group).
