The story

A house, a region

Miel de León is a family business from Pobladura de Fontecha, in the province of León (Castile and León), with over twenty years of experience in the sector. Production, packing and marketing are all done in-house.

Its hives are spread across the forests and hills of the province of León and the Bierzo area, on land far from sources of pollution. The harvest is done “in an artisanal and natural way”.

The craft

How they work

The house produces several honeys — thyme, heather, chestnut, forest, high-mountain, oak, wildflower — harvested by hand and then extracted and packed with modern equipment.

The Forest Honey owes its character to its botanical origins: bramble, chestnut, heather and oak. Dark amber colour, intense and lasting aroma, a bolder, more toasted taste than classic flower honeys.

What sets them apart

Why we chose them

A honey from its own harvest, from a precise terroir: the forests of León and the Bierzo.

The singular profile of forest honey: less sweet, deeper, amber and woody.
