9 left. No restock planned for this Hojiblanca 555.
Almazara Terraverne is a small family mill nestled at 555 metres of altitude in Teba (Guadalteba region, Málaga), in Andalusia. A single olive variety: Hojiblanca, single-varietal.
The harvest is done by hand in mid-October, when the fruits are still green. Cold extraction within the hours following the harvest. The result: a fruity oil, with a clear pepperiness on the finish.
This batch was winner of the Best AOVE of the Province of Málaga 2023 (Diputación de Málaga) and finalist of the COI's Mario Solinas Award, and is part of our short selection for the 2026 season.
We received a small lot. There are 9 bottles left. Once they're gone, we'll wait for the next harvest (October 2026).
People sometimes ask me why I don't take a pallet when I like a batch. That's exactly the opposite of our trade. Almazara Terraverne presses little, and I prefer to receive a small lot, offer it honestly, and wait for the next harvest rather than storing an oil that would lose its freshness in a warehouse. A single-varietal AOVE like this one is best drunk young — these nine bottles are exactly what's needed for this season.
Short selection, producers we know, shipped from Villeneuve VD.
